HOW WILL I BENEFIT FROM MY MEMBERSHIP?

By engaging in a dynamic promotional, marketing and art consulting program, including
advertising, networking, exhibiting and selling your work.

WILL I HAVE A SHOW?

Yes, you will participate in one group exhibition per year. Duration of each exhibition is three weeks.
If selected, you will be eligible for a CAN Fellowship (read more) and a solo show. You are guaranteed to participate in a solo exhibition upon five years of membership.

HOW MANY ARTISTS PARTICIPATE IN ONE GROUP SHOW?

About 25 artists. Each artist may show up to five artworks (five if the size is 10" x 10" for each artwork, two if they are 25" x 25" each, one piece if it is 50" x 50", including framing).

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES FOR EXHIBITIONS?

There are no fees for any exhibition. CAN covers expenses related to listings in the Gallery Guide,
printing and mailing of invitations, installation of the exhibition, opening reception, and maintenance
of the space. Artists are responsible for packaging and shipping of the artworks for the exhibition
and their return after the exhibition. If artists want to place any additional advertising for an exhibition, they should cover all related expenses.

WHY IS THE LISTING IN THE GALLERY GUIDE IMPORTANT?

Because it is a major reference art publication in New York available in galleries and book stores
around the world.


I LIVE OUT OF TOWN AND I'M UNABLE TO ATTEND LECTURES...

Our members live all over the world, and though most of them are unable to attend, online streams of most of our lectures are available free of charge in our Lectures section.

CAN I INCLUDE MY CONTACT INFORMATION IN MY ARTISTS PAGE?

Yes, each personal web page contains an email contact form. When you join our Forum, you may include more information in your profile.

WHAT WILL BE MY COMMISSION?

100% when a sale results from a direct internet contact; 50% if a sale is generated by CAN
or takes place in its premises.

CAN I SHOW MY WORK IN OTHER GALLERIES?

Yes. CAN membership does not require exclusive representation.

WHO MAY APPLY?

Any artists, regardless of nationality or residency working in any style of medium. More...

ISN’T IT UNUSUAL TO REPRESENT SO MANY DIFFERENT ARTISTS?

As a legendary dealer Betty Parsons used to say, “it’s not about style, it’s about art.”
CAN is not a conventional gallery, it selects artists on the basis of originality, aesthetic and ethical
merits, and provides them with an opportunity of an alternative space and promotional program.

HOW CAN I MAKE PAYMENTS?

You may select from four convenient membership options:

1. One year membership: $720

2. Two year membership: $1200
(save $240)

3. Five year membership: $2900
(save $700)

Payments are made in full upon joining.

4. If you wish to pay monthly, membership fee is $75 per month, with a one year membership.
